The Lions Clubs International Foundation provides emergency grants after natural disasters such as the earthquake in Gujurat and the flooding in Lewes, East Sussex.  These grants are made to local Lions Clubs and can be made available across the world within 24 hours if necessary.

More recently the Lions Clubs International Foundation has given $millions towards disaster relief following the Tsunami in Asia, on Boxing Day 2004.
