Each year the club awards a Youth Award of £500 to a local club or organisation benefitting local youth.

There are various qualifying criteria. The project the award is given for must benefit local youngsters and it must be something new, as opposed to an existing ongoing project.

This award has, in the past been given to local schools, sports clubs, and voluntary organisations amongst others.

This years award has been given to Cloud Nine Theatre Group which helped finance monthly drama workshops and the 2005 christmas performance of Aladdin
